EXISTING SYSTEM
Users upload their data to a third-party platform, such as Microsoft Hohm. This platform collects the data and generates a statistical report, allowing users to compare their energy consumption with others in their vicinity, such as neighbors in the same block. This capability to access, analyze, and respond to highly precise and detailed data from all segments of the electric grid plays a crucial role in promoting efficient energy usage.
However, at this juncture, the identity of the data entrant is somewhat ambiguous, and as a result, party C may remain skeptical about the data's authenticity and trustworthiness. We observe that the current tendering process is resilient to manipulation by party A, but the addition of forward security measures can elevate the level of security even further. With forward security in place, the exposure of cryptographic keys from either party will not compromise the integrity of previously executed e-contracts. This ensures that historical agreements remain secure and trustworth.
